Wherever high power density is required in a small micro gear pump, you will find Flight Works, Inc. Featuring high precision machined components; these self-priming, pulseless pumps deliver a remarkable amount of pressure and flow for their size and weight. Configured with brushed (iron core), coreless, or brushless motors, Flight Works micro gear pumps are compatible with a large variety of fluids, including oils, fuels, water, alcohols, hypergols, and chemicals and a wide range of markets, from aerospace to laboratory research.

Their direct drive (dynamically sealed) and new magnetic drive micro gear pumps begin with original concepts and designs, then move into in-house CNC and manual machining (3, 4, and 5 axis), assembly, testing, and production. Flight Works' capabilities have increased over the years, enabling them to establish successful business contracts in growing range of markets since 2001. Complete with submersible, extreme environment, and high run time options, the pumps are capable of functioning in rugged conditions, including temperatures from -35° to 120° C, flight-ready requirements, and more. Wetted materials options include stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, Hastelloy, and plastics, among others. Hard anodizing, heat treating, passivation, and lapped finishes on pump components can be provided. Flow rates vary from less than 1 ml/min to over 5 L/min; dynamically sealed pumps have demonstrated differential pressures up to 300 psi (20 bar) per stage while magnetic drive pumps are rated as high as 600 psi (40 bar) per stage. Most Flight Works gear pumps are less than 2" (dia.) by 5" (length) and weigh less than 1 pound, have critical components machined to micron tolerances, and are available with barb, push-in, AN, or compression fittings.

Flight Works is ISO compliant, uses calibrated inspection equipment, including x150 magnification toolmakers microscopes to inspect pump components, and can also undergo surface finish, leak, humidity, and cold fluid testing in the pursuit of defects. They provide certificates of conformance and material traceability documentation upon request. Flight Works has manufactured micro gear pumps for the UAV, fuel cell, medical, and oil and gas industries, as well as racing yachts, robotic equipment, and much more. Lead times for standard pump products can be shorter than a week, and the Flight Works engineering team is also experienced with extremely competitive development capabilities. Flight Works also adheres to ANSI Y14-5 (dimensioning and tolerancing) and various Mil-Spec standards, and are highly experienced in SolidWorks design as well as CNC programming.
