- Includes tank and line heaters and thermostats
Why pump-fed propulsion?
- Low tank pressure reducing operational risks
- Low inert mass for higher performance
- Enables control modes not available in a pressure-fed system:
- Operate at high pressure/high thrust/high Isp for fast, efficient orbital transfers
- Operate at low pressure/low thrust and at minimum impulse bits for precise RCS control (such as for RPO/RPOD)
- Bidirectional displacement pumps for propellant management, such as refueling
- Enables monoprop system to have similar/better performance than conventional biprop system
